Makes me miss my grandpa, he grew apples and he would make homemade cider and my grandma would make something like this. She made all kinds of treats from apples. Fresh Dehydrated apples is my treat.

One of the best sorbets I’ve ever had was served in the shell of the fruit that was used to make it. It was a 12 pack from Costco, and they were all served in lemon, grapefruit, coconut, and orange rinds. This is apparently very common on certain parts of the world
I’m sure it’s obnoxiously expensive at this restaurant, but it’s absolutely not stupid — probably just stupidly priced

Don’t speak ill of what you don’t understand. They sell them in seafood restaurants called “la costa” in Mexico. They also have to extract the inside of the fruit to make ice cream.
I can’t attach photos here, but eating orange ice cream inside an orange peel, or an apple, and then eating your bowl of ice cream, or in the case of mamey and pineapple, is very eye-catching. The design of the ice cream container is very attractive, and it’s a lovely detail to see when you eat it.
